During this 2day course you will: Gain a clear understanding of the carbon cycle and implications for climate change. Be able to discuss the carbon cycle and issues surrounding climate change. Explore contemporary viewpoints and some strategies to help you communicate these to others.
Identify sources of carbon emissions in your workplace. Learn how to recognise the hotspots of carbon generation within your workplace and how to complete a basic carbon footprint. Introduce a quick-win action plan to reduce your workplace emissions. Implement reduction opportunities which are easy and have an immediate and measurable impact.
Come away with an understanding of the carbon cycle, climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies and how a cap and trade emissions reduction scheme works. This course will give you key strategies for identifying and evaluating the risks and opportunities of the low-carbon economy in an organisational environment. This course also provides practical and tangible strategies for the reduction of energy use and carbon emissions on your first day back at work.
