Study online to become a professional carbon manager through CTI’s e-Learning platform. Access your learning materials, instructional videos, the CTI resource library and much more from your home desktop or even your mobile device.
During this course you will learn how to support and implement a whole of organisation carbon management response plan to help performance manage your organisation’s carbon emissions. Gain an understanding of how reduction strategies can be implemented using business planning frameworks supported by existing business systems.
Read through a chapter of the course notes each week then join an online tutorial session to discuss and contextualise your studies and and ideas with your course instructor and peers. Then in between online tutorial sessions complete a series of workplace based tasks to help build your real-world skills in implementing a whole-of-organisation carbon reduction strategy.
Download digital workbooks containing all the tasks you need to complete, once you have completed each workbook you upload it into the e-Learning platform to receive feedback from your assigned instructor.
Each week you can also arrange a 1/2 hour Skype meeting with your course facilitator to help you work through your tasks.
At the end of the 5 weeks you will pull together all of your workbook tasks into a draft Carbon Action Plan (CAP) which you will present as a 5 minute talk to your instructor and peers.
Then over the next 3 weeks you will be able to use constructive feedback to hone your CAP and finish off your workbook tasks.
This course takes you from the science and background of climate change impacts and recognising sources of greenhouse gas emissions through measuring and assessing carbon emissions, recognising opportunities for improving energy productivity onto implementing a whole of organisation carbon management response plan to help your organisation performance manage its carbon emissions.

Communicate climate change impacts and recognition of greenhouse gases
Measurement and Assessment
Measure carbon emissions in three scopes
Evaluate Carbon reduction and renewable energy options
Carbon Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)
Assess and select low-carbon products and services
Planning and Implementation
Assist implementation and monitoring of a Carbon Management Response Plan
Reducing heavy vehicle emissions
Evaluate, select and implement a greenhouse gas abatement program
Course Dates:
The first webinar tutorial is 6.30 - 7.30pm on Wednesday the 28th of March. Then your weekly online tutorials will take place every Wednesday from then.
Course Cost
Total Frontline Carbon Manger course (Certificate III in Carbon Management) cost is $2,462 consisting of a $362 enrolment fee and a $2,100 tuition fee.
The enrolment fee of $362 is payable at time of electronically enrolling into the course.
The tuition fee of $2,100 is payable in full before the commencement of the course unless you’d prefer to pay the pay it in three installments: The first installment of $700 before the commencement of the course, the 2nd installment paid on Week 4 and the final payment paid before the final week of the assessment (which equate to Week 8).
